Murphy's Law

A Best Buy technician is coming this morning to fix my two-year-old washing machine that decided to stop working last Friday. I buy most of my appliances there because the warranties are reasonably priced and I never cease to use them.

Yesterday my apartment maintenance person came to fix my one-year-old dishwasher that broke Friday. Yup, also on Friday... the day I wrote how I woke up energized and couldn't wait to get some cleaning done.

My kitchen floor got thoroughly washed - the dishwasher flooded the floor. All the towels in the house got washed - I had to use them all to clean up the water.

Murphy's law reigns large at my house. If it can go wrong, it will, particularly if I have a chance to get some stuff done. Who is this Murphy? What did I ever do to him?

My Friday went like that all the way to Bunco Night. Finally a little good luck came my way and I won a couple prizes.

So I'm sitting here waiting for the technician to call to give me my "time frame" for repair. Maybe I'll try to get a few things done in the meantime. But if you see Murphy, tell him I ain't doin' nothin'!!!
